8th Grade HS Information

Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend the individual open houses that are scheduled in the fall. Information will be posted below as it becomes available.  Many schools such as Cardinal Newman, Oxbridge Academy and The Benjamin School will also offer tours and a campus visit.  See open house schedule below. Information will continue to be updated as it is received from individual schools.  Private schools may offer tours by appointment.  Please check with the individual schools for information on this.

Recommendation letters:  Benjamin, Oxbridge Academy and The Pine School and most out of state private schools require teacher letters of recommendation.   Please submit these letters to the guidance office for distribution to our teachers, they will be sent directly from this school to the ones you selected.   Do not give these letters to your children to hand out.  

                                                                                                                                                                                  

Cardinal Newman High School

The Admissions Team will be at All Saints School to share information on the outstanding programs at Cardinal Newman High School. We will present information about our International Baccalaureate Program, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, Learning Strategies, Fine Arts Program, Athletics and much more.

Open House Dates for Palm Beach County Choice Academies: 

Choice academies are specialized education programs that enable students to focus on their individual talents and interests. Students must apply to Palm Beach County Choice Academies.   

  • Palm Beach County Showcase of Schools: October 17, 2023 @ 4 pm, South Florida Fairgrounds EXPO Center
  • William T. Dwyer: November 7, 2023 @ 6 pm  
  • Suncoast High School:  November 16, 2023 @ 6 pm

Choice Academy Application Deadline for Palm Beach County Choice Programs

  • The deadline to apply for a choice program for the 2024-2025 school year is January 26, 2024.  
  • For Dreyfoos School of the Arts and The Conservatory School the application deadline is December 8, 2023.    
  • Once the application process is open you can apply online at:  www.mypbchoiceapp.com.
  • Please note: For public school choice academies, you will need your child’s middle school transcript to upload at the time of application. Transcripts are sent out after report cards at the end of each quarter.
